30th - Trago Mills

This is actually a shop first & foremost, with a funfair in the grounds. I am not sure whether they built the funfair to keep the kids occupied or was it built to drain even more money from people's pockets?

28th - Torquay Pavillion

Inside Torquay pavillion - this used to be a former theatre but is now a small shoping mall home to twenty or so independant retailers & food outlets.

27th - Woodlands

This photo is taken at Woodlands, which is an adventure park on the outskirts of Torbay. Almost no mechanical rides exist here, but the kids love it and it does tire them out.

26th - Harbour Walk

A very quiet harbourside today, although many parts of the UK are flooded out we have survived relatively unscathed. It has certainly put off the tourists though.

25th - House On The Hill

The house pictured is perched high above Torquay town centre and the occupants must have superb views in all directions.

22nd - Harbour Lights

Taken last winter, Torquay iluminations in full swing. Not exactly Blackpool but still quite impressive.

21st - Clocktower

The clocktower which stands on Torquay harbourside.

20th - Torquay Inner Harbour

Looking across the inner harbour towards the Clocktower & Torwood St. The bars & clubs around here are usually packed with stag & hen parties throughout the summer months.

19th - Coombeinteignhead

This building stands in the grounds of Coombe Cellars pub & restaurant on the banks of the river Teign - a very unusual design!

18th - Yacht For Sale

Yacht for sale if anyone fancies spending a few hundred grand.

17th - Ugly Sisters

No, not the two old women walking past in the photo, the three apartment blocks built above Torquay Harbourside. Unaffectionately known as the "ugly sisters", how they ever got planning permission is a mystery!

16th - Thatched Cottages

This is coombeinteighnhead, a quaint village just outside of Torquay.

15th - Airport At Dawn

This photo is not actually in Torquay, however I was on my way back there! It was taken at 6am at Newcastle Airport (UK) while waiting for a flight.

14th - Railway

If you look closely you can see the railway skirts right alongside the English Channel here, the views along the line between Newton Abbot & Exeter are among the best in the UK.

The new footbridge that connects the north & south piers of Torquay Harbour.

9th - Embarkation Ramps

The Bay Princess leaving for a tour of the bay. In the background you can see Torquay's latest piece of modern art, a white ring circling the harbours edge. You can also see the grade II listed embarkation ramps, which were used during World War II by American troops heading for the D Day Normandy landings.

7th - Retirement Apartments

This view is looking across the inner harbour towards the pavilion and the houses that line the cliffside. The white building at the top centre of the picture is actually retirement apartments, which makes me smile as it is difficult walking up there when you are fit & healthy!

6th - When The Boat Comes In...

The "Western Lady VI" about to dock on Torquay Harbourside. She runs half hourly between Torquay & Brixham and is one of many pleasure boats that make a living here in the summer season.

Unfortunately the pond is devoid of any wildlife at the moment, usually ducks are plentiful. At least it was sunny today though!
