10th - Woodlands

Another pic from Woodlands, the outdoor adventure park in Devon. It is a must visit for any family - great fun!

9th - Princess Gardens

Locals relaxing in the seafront gardens yesterday. Unfortunately due to essential repairwork the place does look like a building site at the moment.

6th - Country Walk

A very nice summers walk today in Torre Abbey gardens, the sun has finally appeared - is this Summer at last?

4th - D Day Ramps

Another view of the D Day embarkation ramps which were used by the American army in 1945. They have been refurbished of late and the Stars & Stripes now flies permanently alongside them in recognition of the role they had in WWII.

3rd - Floating Palace

The boat in the background is the largest vessel with a regular berth in Torquay harbour. It belongs to the Palace Hotel and is available for hire if anyone wants to squander a huge wad of cash.

2nd - Fishing

A collection of fishing nets on the harbourside that are used by the few boats that still fish from Torquay.

1st - Red Day

Today is a photoblog theme day and the theme is red, so here is my daughter having fun on the RED bumperboats at Trago Mills funpark/superstore.

30th - Trago Mills

This is actually a shop first & foremost, with a funfair in the grounds. I am not sure whether they built the funfair to keep the kids occupied or was it built to drain even more money from people's pockets?

28th - Torquay Pavillion

Inside Torquay pavillion - this used to be a former theatre but is now a small shoping mall home to twenty or so independant retailers & food outlets.

27th - Woodlands

This photo is taken at Woodlands, which is an adventure park on the outskirts of Torbay. Almost no mechanical rides exist here, but the kids love it and it does tire them out.

26th - Harbour Walk

A very quiet harbourside today, although many parts of the UK are flooded out we have survived relatively unscathed. It has certainly put off the tourists though.

25th - House On The Hill

The house pictured is perched high above Torquay town centre and the occupants must have superb views in all directions.

24th - Cafe Culture

22nd - Harbour Lights

Taken last winter, Torquay iluminations in full swing. Not exactly Blackpool but still quite impressive.
